We are looking to hire a Back-end software developer to join the team. You will be tasked with helping build our brand new back-end platform from the ground up and have the opportunity to build, mentor and lead a back-end dev team.

•Write and ship beautiful back-end code every day.
•Design and develop back-end data services and REST APIs for front end web applications
•Design and develop application server modules and APIs as part of broader platform for deploying user features such as content recommendations and other interaction models
•Design and develop new services, capabilities and architectures
•Work with a small dev team that is changing the world
•Maintain technical ownership of product
•Face new challenges of scaling services-oriented architectures
•Receive and be responsible for intense code review sessions
•Work with other developers and product designers to brainstorm and test new ideas
•Learn new technologies to build / scale high availability data architectures.
•Work on developing continuous integration (CI) pipeline, unit test automation and help with deployment automation
•Work on software and system optimizations, helping to identify and remove potential performance bottlenecks
•Focus on innovating new and better ways to create solutions that add value and amaze the enduser, with a penchant for simple elegant designin every aspect from data structures to code to UI and systems architecture

Necessary Experience
•Experience developing, deploying and maintaining high volume production web applications and/or web API services
•Experience designing and deploying services-oriented Node.JS applications
•Design and develop new micro-services and capabilities
•Experience architecting services-oriented applications, APIs and databases
•Experience with MongoDBat scale
•Strong experience developing in one or more: JavaScript/Node.js. Working knowledge of NOSQL database systems ( Mongo )
•Maintain technical ownership of products
•Enhance and extend our SaaS architecture
•Deep knowledge of software architectures and best practices
•Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment environments
•Preference for iterating rapidly
•Strong problem solving and decision-making ability
•Receive and be responsible for intense code review sessions
•Strong problem solving and decision-making ability
•Strong software engineering fundamentals (unit testing, object-oriented design, functional programming, data structures)
•Work with other developers and product designers to brainstorm and test new ideas
•Working remotely
